To the People Who Think Israel is the Problem

To those who think Israel is the problem in the Middle East conflict, I dedicate the following:

1. Israel became a state in 1312 B.C.., two millennia before Islam;

2. Arab refugees from Israel began calling themselves “Palestinians” in 1967, two decades after (modern) Israeli statehood;

3. After conquering the land in 1272 B.C.., Jews ruled it for a thousand years and maintained a continuous presence there for 3,300 years;

4. The only arab rule following conquest in 633 B.C.. lasted just 22 years;

5. For over 3,300 years, Jerusalem was the Jewish capital. it was never the capital of any arab or Muslim entity. even under Jordanian rule, (east) Jerusalem was not made the capital, and no arab leader came to visit it;

6. Jerusalem is mentioned over 700 times in the bible, but not once is it mentioned in the qur’an;

7. King david founded Jerusalem; mohammed never set foot in it;

8. Jews pray facing Jerusalem; Muslims face mecca. if they are between the two cities, Muslims pray facing mecca, with their backs to Jerusalem;

9. In 1948, arab leaders urged their people to leave, promising to cleanse the land of Jewish presence. 68% of them fled without ever setting eyes on an Israeli soldier;

10. Virtually the entire Jewish population of Muslim countries had to flee as the result of violence and pogroms;

11. Some 630,000 arabs left Israel in 1948, while close to a million Jews were forced to leave the Muslim countries;

12. In spite of the vast territories at their disposal, arab refugees were deliberately prevented from assimilating into their host countries. of 100 million refugees following world war 2, they are the only group to have never integrated with their coreligionists. Most of the Jewish refugees from europe and arab lands were settled in Israel, a country no larger than new
jersey;

13. There are 22 Muslim countries, not counting Palestine. There is only one Jewish state. arabs started all five wars against Israel, and lost every one of them;

14. Fatah and Hamas constitutions still call for the destruction of Israel. Israel ceded most of the West Bank and all of Gaza to the Palestinian authority, and even provided it with arms;

15. During the Jordanian occupation, Jewish holy sites were vandalized and were off limits to Jews. under Israeli rule, all Muslim and christian holy sites are accessible to all faiths;

16. Out of 175 united nations security council resolutions up to 1990, 97 were against Israel; Out of 690 general assembly resolutions, 429 were against Israel;

17. The UN was silent when the Jordanians destroyed 58 synagogues in the old city of Jerusalem. It remained silent while Jordan systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the mount of olives, and it remained silent when Jordan enforced apartheid laws preventing Jews from accessing the Temple Mount and Western Wall.

THESE ARE TRYING TIMES. WE MUST ASK OURSELVES WHAT WE SHOULD BE DOING, AND WHAT WE WILL TELL OUR GRANDCHILDREN ABOUT OUR ACTIONS DURING THIS CRISIS, WHEN WE HAD THE CHANCE TO MAKE A DIFFERENCE.

  1. You must be a moron to believe everything you read on the mail (yes, including spam…). Unsigned author? Ah ah ah!

    Please inform yourself, don’t believe the first piece of crap that is delivered to your inbox! Open your eyes!

  2. 2. Arab refugees from Israel began calling themselves “Palestinians” in 1967, two decades after (modern) Israeli statehood;

    But the area has been known as Palestine for a long time, so that’s a natural choice for the refugees.

    8. Jews pray facing Jerusalem; Muslims face mecca. if they are between the two cities, Muslims pray facing mecca, with their backs to Jerusalem

    Since the earth is round you can say that about any two points, you just have to position yourself there. And just because Mecca is more holy to them than Jerusalem, doesn’t mean that they don’t see Jerusalem as a holy city.

    16. Out of 175 united nations security council resolutions up to 1990, 97 were against Israel; Out of 690 general assembly resolutions, 429 were against Israel;

    Looks like they are a problem to me? Or do you think the world (UN) is wrong?

    17. The UN was silent when the Jordanians destroyed 58 synagogues

    The UN had just been created, so they were probably too busy planning the new state of Isreal and other things.

    The rest of the arguments are based on religion. I don’t like mixing religion with politics. “Because it’s in the bible” or “They are of a different religion, so we are right” are very dangerous ideas.

    Don’t get me wrong. I agree that Isreal has a right to defend itself, also against Hezbollah. But the latest war was just overkill (no pun intended). They bombed all over the place, not just where the enemy was. Not all of Lebanon agreed with Hezbollah, allthough the latest actions may have caused a few “converts”

    – A case was brought before the king where as two women claimed a child as there infant.

    Both argued that the child was theres as he was the son of a prominant but recently deceasesed salesman and that a fortune was tied to the child , the salesman add many wife , many daughters , but only one son.

    The king asked to hear both women who claimed the child as there’s

    Both made a pretty decent argument as to who could be the mother.

    Then the King retired to is room in order to think on the mather.

    When he cameback from his thinking the next day he said that he had made a decision and that both women would receive half of the fortune and that the child would be cut in half so that each mother would receive an equal amount of the child.

    The first women was very happy and agreed with the king decision.

    The second one jumped to the king feet and pleaded with him to give the entire fortune to the first women but to give her the entire child or to even give the full child to the other women as she could not bare the fact of seing her child die in such circumstance.

    Then the king told the second women to not fear anything as the fortune and the child was her’s from that moment and he then turned to the other women and sentenced her to death.

    The women started to plea for her life but the king would not change is mind , then the mother asked the king to spare the women life , the king asked why , she said that death was what she wanted for her child and that the king denied her wish , it should be the king desire to continue in its value to protect life to choose another sentence for this women , since she wanted to be the child mother and enjoy the fortune would it not be more fitting that she be put in charge of protecting the child and fortune that she so much wanted as a servant and nourice so that she may see and enjoy what she wanted most.

    and so it was.

    The point is , Israelite might whant their own country and peace , but can never enjoy it by stealing it from another and denying that same country peace in turn.

    If Jerusalem is truely their’s , they should have no qualm making it as the vatican is a holy city and country , as they would have brought peace to there holy city and this for eternity.

    If Israel is Truely their’s , they should have no qualm giving some of it away to return the favor of the UN to those less fortunate then themself and in doing so give Palestine and Palestinian the ultimate gift of giving them there country and peace , and in doing so bring peace to themself and to there Palestinian brothers wich they would have just set free.

    But then that would mean that honor and justice is what Israel is made up of.

    The reality sadly is otherwise , they stole there country , they stole the country of the one who they should be ally and brothers with and they go at war with there neighboring country destabilizing the region.

    Lasting peace is always done and made by the one who is whilling to give up something.

    Thiefs and terrorist do not give up anything , they take whats of others.

    Yitzhak Rabin and Ariel Sharon where killed because they wanted to give up something.

    ***************************************

    Rabin – Sharon – Jean Paul 2 , Mandate :

    1. Make peace
    2. Jerusalem as a Holy city
    3. Palestine and Israel as Country as equal and has brothers

    Give up something to gain what you really whant.

  5. Horizon-riche is so far in left field that it must be rooted in anti-semitism. His writing shows that he is an otherwise intelligent person. It’s amazing that someone can become so misguided… Sad really.

  6. ‘ it must be rooted in anti-semitism ‘

    typical comment, as soon as someone opposes the jewish view everyone screams anti-semitism!

    Horizon-riche you make some good points mate…
